I'm the middle of a big home purge, including my closet. My LA wardrobe does not have the same needs as my fashion days working at WMag. All my favorites were the pieces in my suitcase (carry-on only!): Fleur du Mal bodysuits, Frame jeans, Jcrew cashmere, Buck Mason T-shirt, Theory black cropped slip on pants (Toteme-like!), Freda Salvador Brooke rain resistant boots (saved me from the brutal snow/rain in NY and rain/rain in LA last month!) and my Loewe Flamenco in Oxblood (a nice change from black and goes so well cream, denim etc). Goal is less but high quality things, medium spend on basics, splurge on accessories and wear everything to death. Thanks for your inspo!
Exactly! A friend joked that the 2nd image is exactly how I was dressed the last time she saw me. And I have the Flamenco at the top of my list (the silver sequin version, of course). Thank you for sharing :)

Haha you’re a real one! So first of all size down - they’re big and I know you’re on the petite side. I have a short shiny black one and a long green shiny one with tartan on the inside. Hunted each for about $300 and they really last forever and through every weather.
love how intentional and thought out this post was! so many goodies i’m interested in now, too. my uniform is usually a tee (love the leset tees and agolde too!), jeans, and a ballet flat or sneaker (love the colorful ones from alohas). i won’t lie what stuck out to me the most in this was the words “book manuscript” !!!! where have i been this is so exciting! can’t wait to read your words in book format!
Would love to know what size you went for in the Chloe banana tee - it’s real French sizing with those tight sleeves😅 wondering if I should have sized up once more!

I also highly recommend the Gem app for hunting down pieces that aren't current season - it's amazing for secondhand and vintage and great for setting alerts. I use it all the time for 1) if I see a cute styling idea (ex. want to look for a vintage crochet tank) and 2) so I can get alerts if someone puts what I've been waiting for on ebay in my size (ex. the Helmut Lang cowboy boots :')
